ANZAC Day

Each Year Timboon P-12 School invites the local community to take part in an ANZAC Day service.

A lone pine descended from the original lone pine at Gallipoli was planted at the school several years ago.

Ex-teacher and local identity, Jean Giblett, said her grandmother Emma Gray, was given pine cones from the original lone pine in Gallipoli from her nephew Keith McDowell.

She propagated the seeds and they have been planted all over the place.

The Timboon P-12 tree is now flourishing well and is a direct descendent from Gallipoli.

The VCAL students have built a memorial around the tree with the word ANZAC, made from pavers, set into crushed rock.
