Teaching and Learning

What our Preps to Year 6 can offer your child

Our P-6 Sub School currently consists of twelve classes with a current enrolment of 270 students. The P-6 curriculum is broad, balanced and caters for the individual needs of all students through differentiated teaching. There is a strong emphasis on integrating Information Technology such as iPads, Netbooks, Desktop computers and Interactive White Boards into our Literacy and Numeracy curriculum. Our staff are dedicated to actively developing the skills, knowledge and attitudes of students, to their maximum potential.

Our curriculum programs include specialist sessions in the areas of Physical Education, Art, Music, LOTE Japanese and Library. Our School provides a wide variety of additional support programs including Reading Recovery, Perceptual Motor Program (PMP), Choral Speaking and Debating at the Warrnambool Eisteddfod, Oral Language support, Camp Programs at Years 3 yo 6, as well as a wide range of excursions to enhance student learning with real life experience.

Our P-6 Sub School values the development of positive partnerships with our parents and wider school community. We actively encourage parent participation in many school activities. Our School benefits from parent participation in a number of our school programs including as reading helpers, classroom helpers, PMP assistants, helpers at sports days and excursions.
